Before I started this blog I was writing for a blog on the Family Worship Center - Algoma Campus website. This is a copy of one of those posts with links to the original blog.

The Coronavirus is effecting our society in many ways. President Trump has extended the Social Distancing guidelines through April 30th. It is a stressful time in our Nation’s history, many of us never lived though the Great Depression or World War II. So for the first time we are experiencing shortages in food, everyday products, restaurant’s being closed, and many of our day to day activities being cancelled.
I think at this time standing on Gods words is our only solid hope.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.Proverbs 3:5-6
God will provide for our needs, I know many of you are hurting right now. Some of you are not working and things are getting tight. Our prayers are with you and we want you to know we think about you every day. You are not alone. You have a family in FWC. I would encourage each of you that are not effected to keep watch over our other members who are effected and support them in this time of need. Also remember we have a great opportunity to still minister by meeting the needs of our friends and neighbors in our community that are hurting.
Ministry efforts never stop and truthfully, is more important today than ever before. Just look at our country at this time and look at who people are turning to for help. It’s not God it’s the government. Remember many years ago someone said “Never let a crisis go to waste.” I do think these are great words at this time. Don’t let this time slip by and not show the love of Christ. Many people at this time are looking for answers and the Government is not the place to look.
This is the time for for all Christians to realize that people are hurting, they are looking for help, assistance, comfort, and peace at a time that seems almost helpless. We know better than that. We know that this is the time to turn to the Lord. This is the time to share our faith.
I realize that with the social distancing that is going on, you can not go out into public and hold a revival, but you can reach out to individuals in the social media. Many people are on the different platforms and are searching for answers to this pandemic not just concerning the Coronavirus, but the isolation that many are feeling; the loneliness; not knowing where to find fellowship; not knowing where to find answers. These people are lost and hurting and you have the ability to reach out to them, comfort them, and share the gospel with them.
I challenge each of you to make an effort to touch people, to change their lives forever. You can help them find peace in this chaotic time. It is what Jesus asked us to do in the Great Commission.
Father God,
I come to you today with thanksgiving because you have given me a calmness during this time of uncertainty. You have supplied with all that I need and I ask that you give me opportunities to share your gospel. I want you to use me as your instrument. I want to be obedient as I surrender myself totally to you. Thank you for using me to do your work. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen
